When installing propellers, what must be matched and secured correctly?
- A.Any propeller can go on any motor because they are interchangeable in all cases
- B.Each propeller's designated position and direction of rotation, secured as specified by the manufacturer
- C.Propellers should be left finger-loose so they self-tighten in flight
Correct answer
B. Each propeller's designated position and direction of rotation, secured as specified by the manufacturer
Why
Many designs use different propellers for clockwise and counterclockwise motors. Installing a propeller in the wrong position or failing to secure it can produce loss of thrust or ejection in flight.
